Video How to Find Your Instagram Pro advice has gotten complicated with all the outdated tips and platform changes flying around. Here’s what actually works in 2026.
How to Find Your Instagram Profile Link
Sometimes you need to share your Instagram link. Here’s every way to get it.
The Simple Answer
Your profile URL is always: instagram.com/yourusername
That’s it. Replace “yourusername” with your actual username. No app needed.
From the App
Go to your profile. Tap the menu (three lines). Select “QR Code” – you can copy the link from there, or use “Share Profile” to send it directly.
Some newer app versions have “Copy Profile URL” right in the menu.
From Desktop
Log into instagram.com. Click your profile picture to go to your profile. The URL in your browser address bar is your profile link. Copy it.
Sharing a Specific Post Link
Different from your profile link. On the post, tap the three dots, select “Link” or “Copy Link.” That gives you the URL for that specific photo or video.
Story Links
Regular users can’t link directly to stories (they disappear anyway). But you can share stories via DM, and business accounts with enough followers can add link stickers.
Making Your Link Easy to Remember
Choose a username that’s simple and matches your other social handles. If your username is complicated, people will misspell it.
You can also use a link-in-bio service (Linktree, etc.) as a single link that points to multiple places, including your Instagram.
When You Need This
Business cards, email signatures, other social profiles, anywhere you want people to find you on Instagram. Just remember: instagram.com/username.
